Finishing a knitting project always makes me want to cast on for something new, which always makes me feel guilty about what I’ve got waiting to be finished. I know, I know, it’s just knitting, something I do for myself, and I don’t need to feel guilty about it. But I do want to reclaim some needles and project bags, so I really should work on something already in progress.
Gah, I just checked Ravelry, and I started these socks way back in 2009. 2009! A lifetime ago!
Ahem.
These are just basic toe-up socks with short row toes and heels. I’m using Regia Design Line Kaffe Fassett, which let me tell you is not the softest yarn in the world, and that may very well be why I haven’t finished these yet. It does not feel good running through my fingers. But I do love the stripes. Striped socks are pretty much my most favorite thing in the world. Well, actually, quokkas are my most favorite thing in the world. But striped socks? Right up there. Quokkas in striped socks? That might just be the end of me.
That is a really pretty colorway, plus you’ll have awesome socks when you are done!
