Today I’m sharing another card made with a birthday gift! Very fitting then that it’s a birthday card. This little sloth comes to us from the In Slow Motion stamp set from Newton’s Nook.
There are not enough sloth-themed stamps in my life. I need more. I love them and their super slow ways and those permanent grins. To make this card, I stamped, colored, and fussy cut two sloths with their branches. Wait, let’s back up. First, I watercolored a background to look a little
jungly rain foresty. Then I made the two sloths. I decided I wanted a 3D effect, so I did some strategic cutting to send two limbs to the background.
I adhered the back layer directly to the watercolor paper and positioned inside the circle, and then used adhesive foam to mount the front layer. Thinking it still needed a little something, I created a single-flag bunting for the sentiment. In what is quickly becoming my trademark, I went one step too far and slathered some glossy accents all over that flag. I just can’t help myself.
And there you have it. I sloth this card, hahaha.
