The Ton Stamps: Loose Peonies

Hi friends, long time no blog! My crafty mojo has waxed and waned this summer, as I’m sure it has for lots of you. Gotta get out there and enjoy the warm days before they disappear! But I do have a bunch of card photos piling up, waiting to be edited and shared, so.

Today, I have the finished version of a card panel I posted on Instagram awhile ago. It features the Loose Peonies set from The Ton Stamps.

To create the cluster, I stamped the peony in Versamark on watercolor paper, heat embossed it, then stamped the second peony, applied the embossing powder and carefully brushed away the overlap before heat setting it. Lather, rinse, repeat for the third peony. I mixed Hibiscus Burst and Melon Berry inks from Papertrey Ink, loosened the inks with a spritz of water, and painted the peonies. I started very light and built up the layers of color to add shadow and depth. Peonies for days, y’all.

I finished the panel with a stamped sentiment from the same set and some leftover yarn that just happened to match the card perfectly.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!
