Hi friends! How about some otters today? (I would like some otters every day, please and thank you!) I have a birthday card using the Otterly Love You set from My Favorite Things.
Trying to keep this CAS, I settled on just using a single otter. In keeping with my no-line tradition, I stamped the otter and rocks in Antique Linen Distress Ink. I “painted” the scene using Distress Markers: Vintage Photo for the top half of the otter and the rocks, Tumbled Glass for the sky, and Peacock Feathers for the water. For the otter’s bottom, underwater half, I mixed Peacock Feathers and Vintage Photo on my craft mat. (My first attempt involved just painting over a completely painted otter. Let’s just say that didn’t end well.) I finished off the card with the sentiment and some clear Nuvo crystal drops. The stitched rectangle die used to make the panel is from MFT.
I just put this card in the mail for a friend and former colleague, and now I’m entering it into the MFT 2017 Card Design Superstar contest. Thanks for stopping by!
