WCMC9 #24: Anything Goes, or Happy 3rd Birthday C9!

Hello friends! Today is a special day because not only is it time for a new challenge at Where Creativity Meets C9, but we are also celebrating Concord & 9th’s THIRD BIRTHDAY! Woohoo! The whole WCMC9 team is helping Angie and Greg celebrate! We’ll be bringing you tons of inspiration each Friday this month!

Be sure to pop over to the Where Creativity Meets C9 blog to read more about this month’s Anything Goes challenge, see the awesome cards the rest of the team made, and add your card to the link-up!

Let’s start things off with the Birthday Dies and Birthday Balloon Stamp Set! These coordinating sets are free with qualifying purchase: spend $60+ and get the die set free, spend $120+ and get BOTH the die set AND stamp set for free!

I thought these two sets would make fantastic CAS cards and I went a mid-century route for my cards today, especially for this first card. I used the balloon stamp along with three pastel primary colors (ink from Altenew) and overlapped the balloons slightly to create additional colors. I added the balloon string and sentiments in black ink and ta-da! Quick and easy!

For the next card, I again used the balloon stamp, but instead of using it as a balloon, I used it as a fun little spotlight background for my Furry Friends party panda. I stamped the balloon in a pastel green ink and then stamped the solid star stamp from the set inside the circle using VersaMark and embossed them with clear powder to get a watermark look.

I stamped the panda and party hat on a separate piece of cardstock, die cut the images, and adhered them to the card panel using foam tape. I kept this one-layer by stamping directly onto my top-folding card base.

For my last card, I used the scalloped bunting die and ran it through my die cut machine multiple times in a sort of cascading pattern. This is a smaller 4bar size card panel and side-folding card base. I took the die cuts and colored them with Copic markers in a fun rainbow pattern. I then adhered the pieces back into place. I added the sentiment (I love the font on the sentiments in this set!) in black ink and adhered a few coordinating rainbow sequins for flair.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you join us for our challenge this month! And many thanks to Angie and Greg for inviting the WCMC9 team to celebrate with them this month!
