Feature Friday: So Happy for You

Hello friends and welcome back to another Feature Friday with Concord & 9th! The whole Where Creativity Meets C9 team is celebrating Concord & 9th’s third birthday all month. Today I am featuring the So Happy for You bundle. I also used the Shiplap Sentiments stamp set.

For my first card, I stamped the flowers and greenery from the So Happy for You stamp set using some warm peachy, red, and green inks and then cut them out with the coordinating dies. Then I stamped the Hello sentiment from Shiplap Sentiments stamp set using Versamark and heat embossed in copper powder. I trimmed the sentiment out and set it aside with the flowers. Then I used the hoop/circle die from So Happy for You and cut out the circle and hoop from one of the red Dip Dyed card bases. I thought I’d use the whole circle and hoop, but ended up just using the hoop to let more of the shiplap stripes show through.

Next, I stamped the shiplap stripes in a soft gray ink onto a panel of soft white cardstock. I trimmed the panel to 4×5.25″ to fit onto a top-folding A2 card base. I assembled my floral hoop and sentiment and adhered them to the shiplap panel. I added a few coordinating enamel dots and called it a day.

For my second card, I originally intended to stamp an entire background of flowers (but obviously that didn’t pan out).  First, I stamped the sentiments in black ink into the lower corner of the card. Then, using the same color combinations as the previous card, I started stamping he flowers and greenery onto a piece of cardstock cut to a top-folding A2 card base.

After three flowers were stamped and thought, you know, I kinda like the CAS-ness of this. So I stopped. I finished the card some black Nuvo crystal drops. I used a corner chomper on the bottom corners of the card for a softer look. (I’m really into chomping corners lately, lol)

That’s all I have for you today. Thanks so much for stopping by! Please be sure to visit the blogs of my so very talented teammates. It’s been so exciting to see all the creative ideas they come up with! I hope you’re enjoying it as much as I am!
