Hi friends! Today I have another card for the Lawn Fawnatics challenge. The theme this time is CASE Yourself – take a favorite card and remake it, but change it up a bit.
This time, i wanted to make a cute Easter card, so I swapped out the chocolate bars for colorful eggs and the costumed kids for bun buns!
First, I created a watercolor background by sprinkling a very (very) small amount of Color Burst in Orchid (I think) onto a panel of watercolor paper and adding water to get it moving. I ended up dabbing quite a bit off with a paper towel because it was still too dark and concentrated. Once I was happy, I set it aside to dry and started working on the rest of the images.
I made a mask to cover the bears from the original claw machine stamp and stamped the rest of the machine. I’ve yet to find a non-convoluted way of doing this. But anyway, after the claw machine was in place, I grabbed the various egg stamps from Eggstra Amazing Easter and stamped them in a pile. I masked eggs here and there to make a more realistic looking pile. I also stamped in the chocolate bunny and a chick. I haven’t decided yet if the chick is trapped and asking for help or acting as the bun buns’ “chick on the inside” (literally).
I had already stamped and cut out the bun buns for a different card that never materialized. So once everything was colored and cut out, I added foam tape to the backs and arranged the pieces onto my card panel.
Those bun buns are real good at claw machines, considering they don’t have thumbs. but this raises a very important question: Where do they keep their quarters???
Thanks so much for stopping by!
